March 2006, Lessons Professional Publishing, the publishing arm of Fifty Lessons, the media company that captures the business lessons of world-class leaders will publish a new series of books that make everyday aspects of the law more accessible for the non-lawyer.
There are five books in this Manager's Guide Series written by corporate lawyer Frank Adoranti:
The series explains the basics of commercial contract law and highlights how to spot issues before they become a problem and then how to work with a lawyer more effectively if things do go wrong. It is a practical series written for non-lawyers. Each book gives examples from real life business situations, uses plain English explanations of legal terms and provides 'Golden Rules' on what to do and what not to do.
Commenting on the launch Frank Adoranti said "This series is designed to give business people who are at the sharp end of doing deals a greater level of confidence and competence around the legal issues. My aim is to make it feel as though the law and the lawyers are working for you, not against you when speed and clarity are key factors in clinching a deal."
Lessons Professional Publishing Managing Director Eric Dobby added, "Frank has produced a classic new series of books on contracts that every manager should read. His style and his knowledge of the subject make a dry but important subject very accessible."
